I will start with.. I am sorry. It has been way too long since I have talked with all of you. So let’s get started. Question? Are you happy to see 2020 go? My answer is like every other year. Good to see it go, grateful to have had it but looking forward to a New Year. Our 2020 in review. We have been busy working on the farm of course. So many idea’s are still making thier way into our adventure. We are looking forward to hosting events and vacationers. We are in the last stages of having the house in order for renting. I will have pictures in the near future to show the progress. We have been blessed to have shared 4th birthday with oldest grand daughter and two 1st birthdays with Our other 2 grand daughters. (This alone is reason to love 2020) We did have Covid go through our house. We managed well and are very blessed again to have had minor symptoms. The hubby did better than I as I lost my taste and smell. Now mind you this can be both good and bad. Example good... deviled eggs for thanksgiving was enjoyed by hubby and I did not even suffer with the consequences.(no smell).. Example bad... I did not know how much cooking I did on smell not timer. ( no smell equals burnt meals).. Example good... I learned we eat on taste not on feeling full. ( stopped eating when full as nothing had taste so why keep eating..(lost 12 pounds) Example bad.. There are definitely some foods that I missed tasting.. I have missed visiting my parents. I do get to see them some, but it is not the same. My mom has been a quilter for 47 years and I was just getting into it and now we do not get to share that in the same way as before. I miss hanging with the girls!! All in all we are doing well and miss somethings. But know we are very blessed to have each other, family and friends. So now onto 2021.... We, like so many others want to make plans but are still waiting to see how this all plays out. We will be opening to rent soon and will be moving forward with our plans for events and entertaining at the farm. I promise not to be gone for so long again. I will try and get photo’s posted of our progress.
